Port 80 streaming available?

Hi all!
first of all, i would love to thank you for this fantastic project, i'm really addicted to your radio!
...but, i have a little problem: my new company is blocking port 8000/1337/7331 so i can't listen to it whilte at work
Do you have any streaming available on port 80/443?
thank you

Thanks for the nice feedback - appreciated! :starhit:

80/443 streaming is not possible at the moment as those ports are currently occupied by HTTP/S and we would need to have a dedicated host for this (which costs money that we don't have).

Also, it's possible your company firewall is not blocking the ports per se but rather some higher-level HTTP protocols (icecast/shoutcast). What happens if you point your browser to http://178.209.52.163:7331/ ?

Hi Henry,
If i telnet 178.209.52.163:7331 i get a very nice "connection refused" and via browser i don't see your Shoutcast server statistics
If i use an unfiltered access (my old company VPN ) i can see the shoutcast statistics.
i'm almost 100% sure it's not a protocol filter, because i can listen to the shoutcast by using an external proxy (on port 80)
I think i'll just try with an HTTP tunneling from my home PC in the next days (those chinese proxies are a bit slow )

I'll see if there's anything I can do with my relay...

(Update, mid 2019: a port 80 relay is now available, http://i2.20hz.biz - playlist at http://i2.20hz.biz/maschinengeist.org.192.mp3.m3u )

I wasn't able to do much easily with my streaming either and I'd probably have to do something like pipe icecast through nginx to get this working neatly. I don't run nginx on the streaming server and I'm not currently able to, although it's still something I'd be interested in looking into.

@Spewk did you have any success with your own relay?

For all those who might want it, HTTP relay of the stream is now available from http://i2.20hz.biz/maschinengeist.org.192.mp3

Please let me know on Twitter (@christopherw) if you have any problems with it.
